It is time for the 2018 edition of Rundgang at The Royal Instute of Art. Our students invite you to an arts experience for the public and press. We open the doors to the school and show exhibits in an open studio format. Students produce their own programs, events, and guide visitors around the school’s premises. The opening day ends with a big party!

– Lectures 9/11 at 16.30-17.30 and 17.30-18.00
During Rundgång, ARQU will present a day of lectures, artist talks and screenings. ARQU is a student initiated platform for queers at Royal Institute of Art. We aim to create a space for queer thinking and acting.
– 13:00 Artist talk with the collective Mycket at Rutiga Golvet.
MYCKET was initiated in 2012 by the designers, architects and artists Mariana Alves Silva, Katarina Bonnevier, Ph.D., and Thérèse Kristiansson. Since then, they have developed their artistic research from intersectional perspectives such as anti-racist and queer-feminist theories. MYCKET’s practice is informed by the theatrical, the carnivalesque and political activism. Together they rummage through the borderlands of the lives we live, and the built environment that surrounds us.
– 15:00 Screening of Philipp Gufler’s work ‘I Wanna Give You Devotion’ at Rutiga Golvet.
Philipp Gufler is an Amsterdam based artist working with performance, text, video installation, artist books and silkscreen prints. In his journey researching sexual politics, gender identity and sociability he talks with contemporary witnesses and looks into unexpected sources.
– 16:30 Artist talk with Philipp Gufler at Rutiga Golvet.
ARQU will also be part of the Rundgång exhibition with studio installations. ARQU consists of Emilie Palmelund, Tove Möller, Afrang Nordlöf Malekian, Erik Thörnqvist and Maiken Buus Andersen.
