2017/18 Architectural Conservation Residential Architecture: Managing, refining, hesitating?

The course looks at residential architecture as cultural heritage and examines how housing and residential areas can be managed, refined or distorted through conservation practices, densification or conversion. We also study how other types of buildings can be transformed into housing and new qualities added. How can today’s extensive need for housing be met at the same time as preserving and developing cultural and architectural values?
