The Well and the Waterfall
In my dream, there was a well. A big waterfall was inside it. It was supposed to fall, but the water wasn’t moving. I don’t remember if I could see where it began. There were many other objects inside the well, a bit like characters, a bit like stones. They came from a fairytale, not a specific one, more like that main one, which everybody seems to know. Like that tale about an unhappy princess, which we repeat repeatedly.
They were one artwork and every piece of them was made by hand. When I entered the room where they were shown, I was envious. Just a few days ago I completed a different well in a backyard. It was a heavy and dirty job. My hands looked a few years older after digging the soil, carrying the bricks, and mixing the concrete. The well from my dream was light, soft, and done by someone else.
