Bodily Remains (63 min, 2023)
by Tai Shani
For the final Film Club of the year, KKH and Moderna Museet, will present the new feature film Bodily Remains (63min, 2023) by the acclaimed British artist and director Tai Shani.
Following the screening, Blaise Kirschner, Professor of Moving Image at the Royal The Academy of Arts, will be in conversation with Tai Shani (via video link).
In Shani’s film My Bodily Remains, Your Bodily Remains, And All The Bodily Remains That Ever Were, And Ever Will Be, technicolor dreams are mixed with horror, historical resistance movements and intersectional queer feminism. Here, love and pleasure are recognized as a liberating force and catalyst for radical change.
The film features original music composed by Shani’s longtime collaborators Maxwell Sterling and Richard Fearless (Death in Vegas) along with digital animations by Adam Sinclair, also Shani’s longtime collaborator.
