Andreas Hammar

Adjunct Lecturer in Fine Art with a specialization in Mechatronics and Interactive Techniques

Andreas Hammar has been employed at the Royal Institute of Art since 2019. After graduating in Fine Art from Konstfack, he has worked primarily with stage design and installations. Patina, gathering, and things that move discreetly are always recurring themes. Andreas Hammar wants to give students the opportunity to explore technology as an opportunity in their art, regardless of their prior knowledge—both as an aid to their work and as artistic expression. In addition to his art, in recent years he has worked with children’s television, and has stood in front of the camera himself in a children’s program called Mekatronik.
