The texts in this publication were written by the graduating students of the Master’s Programme in Fine Art, developed during a writing workshop led by Natasha Marie Llorens, Professor of Art Theory, in collaboration with Orit Gat, external editor.

Although the programme is conducted in both Swedish and English, the workshop took place in English. As such, all texts are presented in their original English versions. In light of the number of contributors and the scope of the publication, Swedish translations were not produced.

This publication accompanies the Graduation Show of the Royal Institute of Art, held at the Royal Swedish Academy of Fine Arts from 23 May to 15 June 2025.

Exhibition Group

Jenny Olsson, Lecturer in Fine Art with a specialization in Printmaking; Johanna Gustafsson Fürst, Professor in Fine Art with a specialization in Sculpture; and Silvia Thomackenstein, Head of Exhibitions.

Exhibition Technician

Daniel Norrman

The exhibition was made possible in part through the patronage of Henric Ankarcrona and Joakim Geiger, with additional support from Göran Lagervalls stiftelse and others who wish to remain anonymous.

Acknowledgment

Warm thanks are extended to the Royal Institute of Art’s faculty, staff, and all those who contributed to the exhibitions and the education surrounding them. Particular appreciation goes to Sarah Heuberger for her precise and generous coordination behind the scenes; to Natasha Marie Llorens, whose commitment to the text seminar extended well beyond the formal scope of her teaching; and to Elisabeth Alsheimer Evenstedt, who leaves her role as Permanent Secretary this spring. Her steady and generous support on behalf of the Academy—especially in connection with the annual hosting of the graduation exhibitions—has been invaluable.
